Weekend Haiku & Limericks

Your challenge: write a haiku or limerick featuring one of the subjects discussed here in the past seven days: hiking, Bruce Springsteen, or something from Monday's nature quote. Feel free to mine the comments, too.

Post your haiku or limericks in the comments, below. Remember the pattern of a haiku is:

First, 5 syllables,
the second line has seven.
And 5 at the end.

A limerick is a wee bit more complicated. Here's one description.

Post your haiku or limerick in the comments, below.

  1. Hiking: the best part
    is remembering it all
    at home, years later.

  2. This never ages
    Hiking is free and easy
    It's good for the soul

  3. Silently I hike
    Socially sometimes too
    It varies each time.

  4. That is definitely part of the fun (and sometimes the ONLY fun of particularly bad hikes)!

  5. Yes, indeed.
Thanks, Bob! Always glad when you stop by.

  6. Be not so hasty.
The glass will fill as fast
    as the  water  pours.

  7. Bruce Springsteen, a voice
Brilliant bursts through heart and mind
    Words and music merge
