Monday's Nature Quote

The birds I heard today, which fortunately did not come within the scope of my science, sang as freshly as if it had been the first morning of creation.

  1. Our neighbor has a rooster that is enthusiastic and diligent about his morning song.  Good thing I'm an early riser.

  5. The thing I like about this quote is it points out  that you don't have to know what kind of bird it is to enjoy it--and in fact, sometimes it's best if you don't know what science would name it.

  6. Amen to not having to be a scientist---enjoying the birdsong in the present for what it is worth in the moment is enough.  Love this.
